The Bar - Back Server

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains a visible presence on the floor and regular guest interaction during business periods.
  • Makes sure MeyersUSA’s highest quality standards of Food and Beverage service and products are maintained.
  • Cleans, stocks and maintains the dining room, cleans and sets tables.
  • Assists the servers as necessary with established pre-bus and pre-set standards.
  • Communicates customer requests to assigned server and relays guest complaints and compliments to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Must have knowledge of the restaurant seating plan including sections, table numbers and seat numbers; knowledgeable of restaurant systems and expediting systems.
  • Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains knowledge of menu cuisine, wine list, special items, etc. featured in the restaurant.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.
  • Must provide an excellent Guest service at all times, including but not limited to, busy periods.

 Skills and Qualifications:

  • Customer service orientation should consist of organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work in teams.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace for several hours.
  • A High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of six (6) months of high-volume food service experience in a fast-paced, high volume food service or customer service environment required.
