Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles all guest concerns and complaints in a professional manner and further communicates these to the management team.
  • Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment; Keeps the server station organized, stocked and clean at all times.
  • Stays guest-focused and nurtures an excellent Guest experience.
  • Assesses customers’ needs and preferences and makes recommendations.
  • Maintains a visible presence on the floor and regular guest interaction during business periods.
  • Maintains daily knowledge of all company promotions, tournaments, special events, etc.
  • Makes sure MeyersUSA’s highest quality standards of Food & Beverage service are maintained.
  • Takes orders and serves all food and beverage requests using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Clears the tables during service. Controls guest checks and secures proper payment. Communicates all special orders with the kitchen.
  • Completes all set-up and closing duties in a timely fashion.
  • Is familiar with all menus; menu specifications; menu abbreviations.
  • Is familiar with all POS systems, pre-check and cashiering procedures; settles checks after receiving money for guests’ checks.
  • Maintains knowledge of menu cuisine, wine list, special items, etc. featured in the restaurant.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, friendly, congenial, polite, professional and efficient attitude.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working during weekends, holidays and peak business periods may be required, including working any shift/day designated by the department.
  • Customer service orientation should consist of organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work in teams.
  • Must comply with all Food & Beverage regulations according to MeyersUSA culinary departmental standards.
  • Required to become familiar with the menus, and standard operational procedures for the restaurant.
  • It is the responsibility of the Sever to stay current with techniques, preparations, ingredients and any other topics related to all areas of beverages.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Server position of a comparable restaurant or establishment is required.
